Leather softening tips?

Hi hi. I got excited about the nongreasing tips I got (for my greasy red fox pelts) and I tried them. Cleaning the furs with a sponge didn´t help enough and the fur stayed very greasy even after two cleanings. So I tried soaking the furs. I washed them with shampoo as if I had washed my hair. It really did help, I have now one totally grease-free fox pelt! <3

BUT. The skin (leather) got a bit stiff. It´s not hard, it just isn´t as soft as it was before washing. Is there anything I could do about this?

In other news, I have nearly finished two full costume commissions! Wooo. Photos soon. <3

Great work on your, 'costume' like designs or commissions. But I've seen these, or I should say some like this before, Is there a place I would be able to by them at? Also, you have a great collection of furs ^^.

Ei tarvitse olla kettuun lupaa, kun se on yleinen riistaeläin eikä rauhoitettu. Maksoin 25 euroa kappaleelta. Se on halpa, kun torilla nuo maksaa 70 euroa ja jos olet metsästäjä niin saat maksaa yhden nahkan käsittelystä jo sen 25 euroa.

On those nasty furs maybe try using an unscented baby wipe on one to see if it'll help?

And damn you for getting your hands on cheap pelts. Or maybe I'm just too poor to even notice when something is cheap lol
